Llama Architects Receive Planning Permission
The new detached property, complete with 7 en-suite bedrooms, swimming pool / spa complex and detached Garage block is designed to merge seamlessly with its surroundings and once complete is set to be one of the most stunning homes in Cheshire.
The design and subsequent Planning Application involves the demolition of an existing property and outbuildings that are in a state of disrepair. Associated with the new home, a full and comprehensive Landscape and planting scheme was prepared by Llama’s in-house award winning Landscape Architect. The design complements the existing setting which amongst an orchard and mature trees also features a historic quarry lake nestled within the rolling countryside.
In the course of the design process, the property was revealed to be “locally listed”. This required the expert input of our Architects, Planning Specialists and Heritage Consultant to assess the merit of the existing property which had been considerably modified over its history. After a detailed assessment, our Heritage Consultant concluded that any Heritage value had been lost in the history of the house and that there was no historic justification for the retention of the property. This view was shared by Cheshire East Council in the granting of Full Planning Consent.
The approved scheme takes reference from traditional schools of design in the creation of a comfortable and liveable family dwelling whilst ensuring that the most current sustainable and renewable technologies are embedded to reduce the carbon footprint of the home.
The design has been developed by Llama Architects in tandem with sister company Janey Butler Interiors to ensure that the interior design to follow has been fully considered from the outset. Every element from space planning and flow through the property, down to specific furniture items and feature lighting has been planned for by the team to ensure the most beautiful and harmonious finished home is delivered for our client and their family.
