A large three storey listed barn conversion in the Cotswolds which we are completely renovating, including demolition of previous new additions and the construction of a new modern entrance hall to sit with the 300 year old barn. We'll also be implementing a full landscape design, outside swimming pool and helicopter landing pad.
The Llama Group, formally known as Llama Developments was created in the Cotswolds by our founder Andy Butler. Andy became renowned for renovating period properties and barn conversions in the area and we're delighted to be back working in Gloucestershire for one of our existing clients on this exciting barn conversion.
The barn is large, 10,000 sqft and unusual in that it has a large basement section which we’ve turned into a large entertainment area, cinema, gym and art gallery for our client. The property is used as a Cotswold home for our client when he is in the area with his race horses or shooting on the local estates, so we're currently creating a large banqueting hall to seat 18 of his guests after a busy day spent in the countryside or at the races.
The demolition and addition of the architecturally striking new entrance was key in taking the external appearance to the next level and ensured the restructuring of the barn was tailored to our client’s needs. The space will feature a double entrance for guests, access to a boot/gun room, as well as a new focal point for the landscaping scheme.
Our Chelsea gold medal award-winning landscape designer is also working on a completely new scheme to feature an outdoor swimming pool and helicopter landing pad.
